What is Anthrax?A type of rare bacteria, Bacillus anthracis. Rod-shaped. Causes pain in your chest, blisters, fever, shortness of breath, cold symptoms, and nausea.

TreatmentIt can be treated with antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin Levofloxacin. Both can treat infection, although If it's inhaled it is harder to treat and usually fatal.

How it's transmittedSpread by contact with the bacterium's often appear in infectious animal products. It can occur in four forms: skin, lungs, intestinal, and injection.

On the Investigation
Soon after the attacks of 9/11 anthrax laced letter were sent to the senator. Five american were killed and 17 ill. This was considered the worst biological attacks. The ensuing investigation by FBI agents - now known as the Amerithrax case - is considered the largest most complex case in the history of law enforcement.
In August 2008, they made a breakthrough and charges were about to brought against to Dr. Bruce Ivins, who ended up committing suicide before any charges could be filed. Dr. ivins was alleged to Al Qaeda
The Justice System, FBI, and the US Postal Service formed a task force which investigated the case which they spent several years on.
11 Americans inhaled it and another 11 absorbed it through their skin. 31 were exposed to it and many postal buildings were contaminated and later quarantined and condemned.
